聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The senior boys volleyball combined team, comprised of players from Sturgis Composite High School and Norquay School hosted a tournament in Sturgis on September 30 and October 1.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Sturgis team came out on top of five other teams to win the tournament.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The standings recorded after a round robin play had Sturgis in top spot with five wins and zero losses; Langenburg 3-2; Grenfell 3-2; Yorkton Regional 3-2; Wadena 1-4, and Kamsack 0-5, said Kipp Bayer, coach.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In the semifinals, Sturgis defeated Yorkton Regional two sets to one, and Grenfell defeated Langenburg two sets to one.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In the final, Sturgis defeated Grenfell two sets to none.
