聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Sturgis Horticultural Society hosted another successful show with 214 entries by gardeners from across the local area.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 "The 64th annual show had exhibitors 小蓝视频 awarded top points in 13 categories in three different classes of flowers, vegetables and junior entries," said Hazel Urbanoski.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The categories included houseplants and outdoor plants, cut flowers, roses, sweet peas, dahlias, gladiolus, floral art, flower arranging, vegetables, fruits, photography, garden crafts, canning and a junior category. All classes in every section offered cash prizes.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Karen Leis of Runnymede had the difficult task of judging the entries in the different categories.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Esther Prystay of Preeceville was the high-point winner in the cut flower聽 category and was the highest point winner of the show.
Hazel Urbanoski of Sturgis was the high-point winner in the house plants category.
Lillian Smith of Sturgis won in the outdoor plants and fruits. Jean Babiuk of Sturgis won in the canned goods category.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Elizabeth Prestie of Preeceville won the best photography category. John and Leona Carlson of Sturgis won the award for best town yard and Ed and Esther Prystay of Preeceville won the award for best country yard.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Esther Prystay won the awards for best carnation, pansy, gladiola, sweet pea, corn, potato, and tomato. Carole Hauber won for having the best petunia. Hazel Urbanoski won the award for the best rose. Carol Parkin of Preeceville won the award for the best dahlia and the best houseplant. Karen Rose won for best outdoor planters. Elizabeth Prestie won the award for best floral art and best herb collection. Lillian Smith won for best apples.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bracyn Konkel of Sturgis won the children's category for best picture made from seeds. Bracyn Konkel and Keltyn Koonkel, both from Sturgis, won for having the best painted rocks in the children's category.
