聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Sturgis Horticultural Society hosted another successful show on August 10 with 168 entries by eight exhibitors from across the area.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The 66th annual show had exhibitors 小蓝视频 awarded top points in 16 categories in three different classes of flowers, vegetables, canned goods and junior entries, said Hazel Urbanoski.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The categories included houseplants, outdoor plants, cut flowers, roses, sweet peas, dahlias, gladioli, floral art, flower arranging, vegetables, fruits, garden crafts, canning and a junior category. Cash prizes were won in all classes in every section.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Karen Pfeifer of Kamsack had the difficult task of judging the entries in the different categories.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Hazel Urbanoski of Sturgis was the high-point winner in the cut flowers category and in the house and outdoor plants categories. Urbanoski was also the overall high-point winner of the show.
Lillian Smith of Sturgis was the high-point winner in the vegetable and fruit categories. Smith also placed third as the overall high point winner in the show.
Jean Babiuk of Sturgis was the high-point winner in the canned goods category.
Brynn Babiuk of Sturgis was the winner of the children's competition for wildflowers.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Elizabeth Prestie of Preeceville was the second-place winner for the overall high-points in the show. Eileen Prestie of Preeceville placed fourth and Brenda Brown of Saskatoon placed fifth in the overall high-point winner category of the show.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Hazel Urbanoski was the winner in the best carnation, best rose, best dahlia, best house and outdoor plant and best African violet categories.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Brenda Brown was the winner in the best pansy, best lily and best potato categories.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Elizabeth Prestie was the winner in the best petunia category. Prestie also won best people's choice, best floral art and herb collection.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Eileen Prestie was the winner of best tomato and best sweet pea categories.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Lillian Smith was the winner for best gladiola and best collection of vegetables.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 All winners received certificates and winning ribbons for their entries.
