The Sturgis Composite School acknowledged graduates with awards during its graduation 小蓝视频 held in the Sturgis Park on August 28.
Kristen Peterson and Kelsey Newman handed out the awards to graduates.
The academic awards are given to graduates who have achieved an average of 80 per cent or over in Grades 10, 11, and 12.聽
Kacie Meroniuk achieved an 81 percent average overall.
Kale Musey achieved an 81 percent average in her Grade 10, 11 and 12.
Seth Rayner received an academic award with an 85 per cent average.
Hannah Gerbrandt achieved an 86 percent average.
Eden Antoniuk received an academic award with a 91 per cent average. Antoniuk was unable to attend the 小蓝视频.
Knute Vallevand achieved an overall average of 91 per cent. Vallevand was unable to attend the event.
Shanae Olson received an academic award with an overall average of 92 per cent.
Carter Masley achieved a 95 percent average.
The top graduate for 2020 was Rayanne Westermann who received an academic award with a 95.4 percent. Westermann was unable to attend the 小蓝视频.
The male athlete award for 2020 was involved in many of the sports programs the school has to offer such as volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, badminton, cross country and track. He will be heading off to the University of Saskatchewan in the fall. The male athlete award for 2020 went to Zane Bayer.
The female athlete award for 2020 goes to a graduate who has excelled at many of the sports the school has to offer. She not only dominated the course in cross country but she can also crush a ball in a volleyball match. She is a friendly face in the hallways and a leader on the court.聽The 2020 female athlete award went to Shanae Olson.
The fighting heart award goes to a graduate who has put the work into their time at SCS. School may not always have come easy to this individual but he has worked hard over the years. He is a friendly face and a witty remark, 鈥渁nd your energy will be missed.鈥 This year鈥檚 fighting heart award went to Seth Rayner.
The 2020 most improved student award goes to a graduate who has improved academically throughout their time at Sturgis School. This year's most improved student Award went to Carter Masley.
The congeniality award was voted on by the graduates.聽This year the graduates couldn鈥檛 decide on just one of their classmates, so they presented two graduates with this award. These two are leaders not only in the classroom to their fellow graduates but also to the younger students of SCS. They are always willing to lend a helping hand. This year's congeniality awards went to Shanae Olson and Carter Masley.
