Stars for Saskatchewan concert series begins October 22 with Fred Eaglesmith

听听听听听听听听听听听 The series begins October 22 with Fred Eaglesmith, a songwriter who has earned multiple international awards and whose songs have been covered by some of the biggest names in Nashville including Toby Keith, Alan Jackson and Miranda Lambert.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Tambourine, his latest release, was created during a month-long session in an old hall in the hamlet of Vittoria, Ont., said information from the arts council. 鈥淔red has consciously stayed far away from anything that is popular in the mainstream music right now with the result 小蓝视频 a combination of his craftsmanship in songwriting and a fusion of rock 鈥榥鈥 roll circa 1966, Motown and even Tejano influences.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Never one to shy away from taking chances with his music and career direction, Tambourine is no exception, it said.

听听听听听听听听听听听 The Lion, The Bear, The Fox took over 30 years to find one another but it only took 30 days for Christopher Arruda (lion), Cory Woodward (bear) and Ryan McMahon (fox) to realize they were meant to join their voices as one, said the release.

听听听听听听听听听听听 In Kamsack on November 24, The Lion, The Bear, The Fox demonstrate an uncompromising devotion to their chosen craft, it said. Their concert is a collection of intimate moments lived through audiences every night.

听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淪tompy blues, rock grooves and howling, unbridled passion can suddenly give way to hushed folk passages woven together by three whispers speaking as one.鈥

听听听听听听听听听听听 Eric Harper, an award-winning flamenco guitarist, will be in Kamsack on February 11.

Harper who creates not only a unique sound all his own but his music is melodically entrancing, ferocious and harmonically soul-stirring to the core, it said. Harper is an exotic fusion of rock and flamenco: think Dave Matthews meets the Gypsy Kings. Not only can his hands move like lightning like the Gypsy Kings, but his voice is smooth, velvety and it invokes a strength that moves even the biggest music skeptic.

Harper has four CDs that reflect his many styles: The Best of Eric Harper, A Very Timely Christmas, Rompers Madrugada and Ribeira.

The Middle Coast, a trio of three men, will present the last concert of the series on March 10.

鈥淚n just one year, Dylan, Roman and Liam of The Middle Coast logged over 700 hours in a van, travelled over 70,000 kilometres and played 150 shows, the information said. 鈥淧resently the boys are gearing up for the release of their debut record, a nine-song album packed with their strongest material that they鈥檝e written over the past two years.

鈥淭he idea behind the album was simple: catchy songs with classic melodies, thick harmonies and grooves that guarantee some feverish head-bobbing.鈥
