Recently several students of Victoria School received their own copies of a book that contained stories which they had written.
The students had written the stories last year when they were in a Grade 2/3 class taught by Kathleen Tulloch.
鈥淭his has been very exciting for the students whose stories appear in this book, titled The Magic Cave,鈥� Tulloch said.
The students, under the guidance of their teacher/mentor Tulloch, wrote their stories which she submitted to the Poetry Institute of Canada.
The Poetry Institute then selected the stories for publication, and, the students were able to purchase a copy of the book if their story was chosen for publication.
鈥淪tudents of Victoria School have often had stories/poems published in Young Saskatchewan writers,鈥� said Tulloch. 鈥淭his is the first time in several years that I have sent writing into the Poetry Institute of Canada.鈥�
"It makes me feel proud of myself that I did so well on my story,鈥� said Eden Rushton, student and now published author.
"I was really excited that I had my story published," said Seth Symak.
