Recently several students of Victoria School received their own copies of a book that contained stories which they had written.

The students had written the stories last year when they were in a Grade 2/3 class taught by Kathleen Tulloch.

鈥淭his has been very exciting for the students whose stories appear in this book, titled The Magic Cave,鈥 Tulloch said.

The students, under the guidance of their teacher/mentor Tulloch, wrote their stories which she submitted to the Poetry Institute of Canada.

The Poetry Institute then selected the stories for publication, and, the students were able to purchase a copy of the book if their story was chosen for publication.

鈥淪tudents of Victoria School have often had stories/poems published in Young Saskatchewan writers,鈥 said Tulloch. 鈥淭his is the first time in several years that I have sent writing into the Poetry Institute of Canada.鈥

"It makes me feel proud of myself that I did so well on my story,鈥 said Eden Rushton, student and now published author.

"I was really excited that I had my story published," said Seth Symak.
