SASKATOON – Police have apprehended an 18-year-old man who was wanted for the murder of a 21-year-old man and he makes his first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday.

Saskatoon Police say they located Zennen Thomas over the weekend after an Air Support Unit and Patrol response to a disturbance in the 200 block of Avenue I North. He is charged with second-degree murder.

Saskatoon Police also say they located two other people of interest they were trying to locate. They say Regan Opoonechaw and Kasseigh Opoonechaw were interviewed and released without charges. Neither are considered a person of interest anymore.

On Dec. 1, Saskatoon found a man suffering from a gunshot wound after individuals in a minivan stopped police and told them they had an injured man inside the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased in hospital. Police say they aren’t releasing the name of the victim.
