Saskatoon fire employees receive QEII Platinum Jubilee Medals

A total of 7,000 Platinum Jubilee Medals will be awarded to individuals in the province.

SASKATOON — Twenty-eight employees of the Saskatoon Fire Department were presented with Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal on Thursday, April 6, in a simple 小蓝视频 at Fire Station 1.

The medal honours significant contributions and achievements made by residents while celebrating the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Accession to the Throne that began on Feb. 6, 2022.

The recipients were honoured for their efforts in building a robust and vibrant society and province through their service, contributions and achievements

Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency President Marlo Pritchard presented the medals to the recipients in the 小蓝视频, which was attended by Saskatchewan Association of Fire Chiefs President Mike Kwasnica and SFD Chief Morgan Hackl.

“It’s an honour for the [SAFC] to be the selection committee to review and present all the men and women of Saskatchewan that represent the fire service with the Queen's Jubilee Medal. Congratulations to all medal recipients from our 小蓝视频 in Saskatoon and all who received medals in our 小蓝视频 held [Tuesday] April 4 in Regina,” said Kwasnica.

Hackl added: "We are very proud of the SFD recipients who are 小蓝视频 recognized for their contributions to the province. These deserving individuals work passionately to make a difference in their community and embody Queen Elizabeth's legacy of public service."

A total of 7,000 medals will be awarded at ceremonies held throughout the province during the Platinum Jubilee year, and a listing of recipients will be available on .
