Three people accused of killing Tyler Morin had appearances in Saskatoon court.

SASKATOON – A preliminary hearing will be held for three people charged in 30-year-old Tyler Morin’s death.

The hearing to determine if there’s enough evidence for Levi McAdam and Richard Cross to stand trial on a first-degree murder charge is set for February 2023. Ashley Smoke is also charged with first-degree murder and his preliminary hearing will be held in May 2023.

Saskatoon Police say that they responded to a home in the 200 block of Ave. V СÀ¶ÊÓƵ at approximately 6 a.m. on Nov. 10, 2017, and found Morin suffering from a gunshot to the abdomen. He died in hospital the next day.

Police say that Morin knew the shooter but they weren’t able to identify him at the time.

All three were arrested and charged this year. The charges against them haven't been tested in court.
