Preeceville School honours graduates

Nineteen members of the Preeceville School 2017 graduation class celebrated the end of their school years on May 19 and marked the beginning of their future.

Nineteen members of the Preeceville School 2017 graduation class celebrated the end of their school years on May 19 and marked the beginning of their future.

            The quote selected for the graduation reflected on the graduates’ lives: "Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire."

            Members of the graduating class are: Taylor Braithwaite, Hunter Chornomitz, Alexandra Christopherson, Desrai Englot, Sydney Giddings, Brandyn Gogol, Shawn Holowachuk, Spencer King, Kaeley Neitling, Connor Novak, Dreyton Paul, Michael Pidherny, Shelby Reynolds, Lee Schutte, Christina Shewchuk, Kole Statchuk, Hayden Strand, Braydon Walker and Mary Yanke.

            The worship service was held at the Trinity United Church in Preeceville with Rev. Miles Russell giving the announcements prior to the graduates entering the church. Rev. Marcin Mironiuk gave the call to worship, followed by the sermon delivered by Russell.

            Graduates who participated in the service were: Sydney Giddings, Christina Shewchuk, Spencer King, Hunter Chornomitz, Mary Yanke, Kaeley Neitling and Connor Novak.

            The graduates, escorts and invited guests gathered at the Preeceville Skating Arena for the banquet which was catered by the Endeavour Eagles.

            Britney Vewchar and Sylvan Klebeck were emcees for the evening. Graduates and their escorts were introduced as they entered the arena.

            Laura Sliva said grace at the banquet which was attended by family members, teachers and special guests.

            Graduate Spencer King gave the toast to the parents, which was replied to by his parents Doug and Regan King.

            Graduate Connor Novak gave the toast to the teachers, which was replied to by teacher Donna Hamilton.

            Graduates Kaeley Neitling and Desrai Englot gave the toast to the male graduates.

            Graduates Hunter Chornomitz and Hayden Strand gave the toast to the female graduates.

            Graduate Christina Shewchuk gave the toast to the Good Spirit School Division representatives. The reply was by Chris Balyski.

            A slide show, assembled by Braydon Walker, a graduate, concluded the banquet.
