The Preeceville and District Lions Club gearing up to welcome back it's annual Western Weekend which is set for August 20, 21 and 22.

"After 小蓝视频 forced by COVID restrictions to cancel all events last year, we are regrouping to put on a bigger and better show," said Ralph Ager, chairperson. "We are pulling out all the stops with continuing the tradition of chuckwagon and chariot races by the Eastern Chuckwagon and Chariot Association. The Etoimamie Valley Riders Club will be sponsoring a two-day gymkhana followed by plenty of activities for everyone," he said.

Other attractions will be a car show and shine, bingo, a barrel ride and bouncy castle for children, beer gardens and a Saturday night dance with a live band. On Friday there will be a Texas hold-em poker game and a coed slo-pitch tournament will be hosted on Saturday followed by a senior slo-pitch tournament on Sunday.

"The club recently purchased a red barn unit that will be used as an ice-cream booth as it has a power electricity outlet," said Ager.

In July 10, 1960, the club hosted its first sports day with a sum of $1,400 raised, stated the Preeceville History Book.
