One of the most anticipated events surrounding Outlook鈥檚 yearly Canada Day celebrations has been confirmed to be a go for 2019, as there will once again be a parade on July 1.
When it was learned that the town鈥檚 Canada Day festivities were looking to be somewhat scaled down this year, with no concrete plans for a parade, two local residents, Leah Baratta and Kate King, decided to team up and take the reins of putting one together for all to enjoy.
The parade is expected to follow the same route as in previous years, beginning at the museum and making its way south down Franklin Street.聽 It will begin at 11:00 a.m.
With the news that the Canada Day parade will go on, the call now goes out to the public for floats and vehicles to enter it.聽 Local businesses, organizations, and clubs are all encouraged to enter the parade, as well as those with access to eye-catching antique vehicles.
Organizers are also putting a special call out to kids to enter the parade, so parents, help your little ones get creative in decorating their bicycles!
Perhaps even your furry friends wouldn鈥檛 mind joining the fun.聽 If you don鈥檛 mind a little walking around town, slap on some red and white and walk your dog through the parade.聽 This event doesn鈥檛 discriminate against proud Canadians who also happen to have four legs!
Let your creativity shine!
