The following are highlighted motions that had been made at those meetings, including any motions made after council exited in-camera discussions, which are closed to the public.

Approval of Supplementary Payments

620/19 – Childerhose/Simonson:  That due to a clerical error we approve a supplementary payment to Councillor Maureen Applin in the amount of one thousand and eighty dollars ($1,080.00) for reimbursement of expenses incurred for Town business to be issued Thursday, August 29, 2019.  Carried.

Lagoon Sewage Dumping Agreement

625/19 – Applin/McLeod:  That we enter into a proprietary Lagoon Sewage Dumping Agreement with Solnicka Septic Services for a period of four (4) months to commence September 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, a copy attached hereto to form a part of these minutes.  Carried.

Landfill Decommissioning Project

626/19 – Applin/Smith:  That we request a quote from Associated Engineering to prepare tender documents and act as project management for the approved landfill decommissioning plan for the landfill.  Carried.

Water Intake Meeting

627/19 – Applin/Grotheim:  That we request a meeting with the Westside Regional Pipeline board and representatives from the Riverview Golf Course to discuss current and future works to be undertaken at the shared raw water intake.  Carried.

Lagoon Dredging Payment

636/19 – Simonson/Grotheim:  That we authorize payment to Klock Holdings Ltd. in the amount of eighty-eight thousand three hundred and thirty-three dollars and eighty cents ($88,333.80) for dredging completed at the Outlook Lagoon.  Carried.

Water Meter Replacement

644/19 – Grotheim/Applin:  That we proceed with the immediate replacement of the existing water meter at Lots 2-3, Block 1, Plan 61S16586 due to the resident’s dispute of the water meter accuracy, and further that once the new read-out meter is installed all previous charges in dispute will be forgiven, and should the resident refuse the meter change we instruct the public works department to disconnect water service at the curb until such time that the outstanding arrears on the account have been paid in full.  Carried.
