聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Avid snowmobilers from across the area joined together to have a fun afternoon of snowmobiling during the annual Okla snowmobile derby on February 28.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Okla derby organizers were thrilled to have 49 sleds entered in the derby. A portion of the funds are usually donated to a charitable organization and this year, the organization donated $1,003 towards Telemiracle 40.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 When the riders returned from the 100 km ride that took them through a scenic landscape, they were treated to a huge supper that was also open to the community.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Brenda Yates of Preeceville won the prize for the highest hand which was carried by Linda Spray of Okla. Maryann Brownlee won for the second-highest hand with Lisa Brownlee carrying the hand. Both are from Kelvington. Brant Engdahl won for the third-highest hand which was carried by Christa Engdahl. Both are from Lintlaw.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Jonathon Welder from Allan won for the low hand. Linda Spray of Okla was the local rider who sold the most hands and Lisa Brownlee was the outside rider who sold the most hands.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There was $1,735.10 raised through hands sold.
