The Norquay Nikes senior girls basketball team was busy in December. The team travelled to Hudson Bay for a tournament on December 7 and 8 and placed first. The Norquay winning streak included a game against Preeceville which ended with a score of 46 to 30, against Hudson Bay with a score of 48 to 33 and soundly beating the Carrot River team with a score of 40 to 24.
In a senior girls basketball home tournament on December 14 and 15 the team placed second. The Nikes won against Norway House with a score of 48 to 34, and defeated Hudson Bay, 75 to 50. The team suffered a loss to Canora when the game ended with a score of 65 to 57.
