A number of Norquay residents got together and started a project to improve the appearance of the town. A grant has been applied for and persons interested in helping are welcome to join. For a first project, which was to decorate with flowers an old truck that was placed at a Main Street intersection, the truck, labour and materials were donated by Shawn and Wendy Reine, the Norquay Co-op, Lynn鈥檚 Greenhouse of Benito, Cherewyk鈥檚 Backhoe Service and numerous volunteers. Among the members and helpers of the town beautification project gathered at the site of their first project for a photo on July 18, from left were Laura Dahl, Reagan Foster, Ruth Demetrick, Wendy Reine, Albert Outhwaite (Norquay Co-op manager), Donna Lumley and Nicole Korpusik. Persons interested in becoming involved in future projects may contact Laura Dahl and attend the group鈥檚 next meeting.
