Allard and her husband Jeremy have three children: Kaley, 8; Shayla, almost 10 and Cameron, 11.

Allard said she wanted to pay tribute to the fine work done by Kev Sumner, the previous rec director, who has moved on to a new opportunity in New Brunswick.

Allard describes the position as, 鈥減rovide and organize events related to recreation, sports and culture, and to make sure that high quality events, facilities, programs and services are available to local residents.鈥

Jeremy recently started work in a joint position between KCI and Victoria School.

Allard said their children are heavily involved in minor hockey, baseball, softball and other sports. She and Jeremy have been active in coaching and other volunteer work related to sports.

Allard previously sat on the Kamsack rec board as a volunteer, but now a membership on the board is part of her new position as rec director.

鈥淎fter having grown up here in Kamsack I am proud of this community.
