On April 24, a crew of eight with HB Construction of Hudson Bay, began cleanup and laying down netting to deter birds from nesting in the area, in preparation to begin a full bridge replacement.

The project will include a complete single-lane traffic bypass controlled by traffic lights. The work is expected to continue throughout the summer, concluding in September.
