Musher multipurpose pad closer to completion

The Preeceville and District Musher Rendezvous committee donated funds from the annual event in 2015 towards a multipurpose pad that was to be built adjacent to the Preeceville Hospital.

The Preeceville and District Musher Rendezvous conception of a multipurpose pad is becoming a reality with the main framework having been completed. The pad, for which ground work began at the end of April, is located on the east side of the Preeceville Hospital, and the committee is now waiting for the cement to be poured for the final completion. 聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The pad is one step closer to a reality, said Jim Ward, chairperson. The pad is located on the east side of the hospital and will have direct access to the hospital.

The pad is 40 feet by 40 feet, Ward said. Ground work of the clearing of bush was done by Mark Jakubowski and BBB Construction did the framework. JK Redi-Mix was contracted to do the cement work but has been delayed because of equipment breakdown. Kevin Cook also worked on the site.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 "Once the plant is operating again we will get the cement poured,鈥 he said. After it is poured it will be probably another six to eight weeks to allow for the cement to set.
