SASKATOON – A 19-year-old Saskatoon man charged with extortion, luring a child, and possession of child pornography appeared in court today.
The man, whose identity can’t be revealed due to a court-ordered ban on publishing his name, was arrested after the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit raided his Saskatoon home March 23. He was released from custody on March 24.
Police allege that the man lured and possessed child pornography through a popular online social media application.
He appears in court again on June 2.
