The Canora Hospital Auxiliary鈥檚 59th annual Carol Festival kicked off the Canora Winter Lights Festival on November 29.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Lorie Wasyliw, the auxiliary president, offered season鈥檚 greetings and told the crowd that it is the contributions of people who attend Auxiliary functions that enables the Auxiliary to offer so much support to the hospital and the health care community.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The program began with the Auxiliary singing Joy to the World and Little Drummer Boy. The group was accompanied by LeanneBuchinski on the piano.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Canora Nursery School Choir sang We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Little Drummer Boy. The choir was directed by Alissa Wilson.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Jacob and Nicholas Rewalkowsky were joined by their mother, Katherine, and Floreen Haskewich to sing Jingle Bells.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Directed by Adeline Zawislak, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Choir sang Christ is Born and News in Bethlehem.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Canora Little Band, which is also known as Brooke & Friends, sang Smokey Mountain Christmas, Little Drummer Boy, Old Toy Train and I鈥檒l be Home with Bells On.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Representing the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Effie Pretchuk sang God鈥檚 Choir in the Sky and Shirley Skoretz sang A Christmas Carol.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Joy of Singing Choir, directed by Greg Bright and accompanied by Carolyn Bright, sang Beautiful Star of Bethlehem and What a Day That Will Be.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Iris Bodnarchuk, accompanied by Dwight McDonald, played on the mandolin Little Brown Church, Mandolin Duet and Ukrainian Dance.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The program concluded with the St. Joseph鈥檚 Roman Catholic Church Choir (all dressed in nun outfits) did its version of Sister Act in singing Silent Night, I will Follow Him and Amen. The group was directed by Liz Bahnuik.
