The Kelvington 4-H Beef Club finished 2017 by having a sledding party at Greenwater Provincial Park on December 17.
“There were a lot of thrills, chills and spills,” said Blake Zagrodney, club reporter. “With a wiener roast and snacks, everyone had a great time and went home tired and with some new bruises.
The club hosted its first meeting of 2018 at the Kelvington Curling Rink on January 7. Many topics were discussed from cookbooks to curling and upcoming events. Everyone took some time to throw some rocks and practice his or her curling skills.
“We would like to wish our senior curling team good luck on January 21 when they head to Colonsay for district curling,” said Zagrodney.
The club’s public speaking competition will be held at the Kelvington High School on March 4.
Its next meeting will be at Kelvington Stockyards on February 4 when members will bring their calves for a weigh day.
