聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 A Keeseekoose First Nation man died following a traffic accident north of Yorkton on Saturday.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 On January 23, shortly before 8 a.m., a 22-year-old male from聽the Keeseekoose First Nation聽was walking聽on聽Highway No. 9聽about a half kilometre north of Yorkton, said a release from Yorkton RCMP.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The male pedestrian was struck by a聽car traveling northbound on the highway, the release said. The聽driver聽immediately stopped and tended to the male and called for assistance from emergency services.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Yorkton RCMP, Crestvue聽Ambulance Services and the coroner from聽Yorkton attended to the scene.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The 22-year-old male was transported by ambulance聽to the Yorkton Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, it said. His name will not be released.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The female driver and adult male passenger of the聽car did not require medical assistance.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Initial investigation has revealed that the male was wearing dark clothing, was not immediately seen by the driver of the聽car and was subsequently hit, it said. No charges have been laid. The incident is 小蓝视频 investigated by聽the Yorkton聽RCMP and an RCMP collision reconstructionist.
