聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The last two of the four-signs project undertaken by the KCI SADD group were placed at the highway entrances to Kamsack this summer.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Kamsack Comprehensive Institute Students Against Drinking and Driving (SADD) group raised funds through such initiatives as barbecues, the sale of 鈥渕ocktails鈥� and annual community-student ball games.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Funds raised allowed the group to place two large alcohol-awareness signs at the east and west highway entrances to Kamsack two years ago, and then the last two, at the north and south entrances, were placed on July 14, according to information from KCI SADD.
This would not have been possible without the help of the community, the information said. Brian Angeloni and his industrial arts students framed the signs, Easton Moline, the town鈥檚 bylaw enforcement officer, staked the locations with members from the SADD chapter; McMunn & Yates donated the sign posts, hardware and transportation of the signs; The Broda Group donated time and equipment to dig the holes for the posts and gravel, and the RM of Cote donated tools, time and manpower to erect the signs.
The project was an incredible group effort between The Kamsack SADD chapter and community members, it said, acknowledging the involvement of Jaraden Bryksa of McMunn & Yates; Tom Baillie of The Broda Group and Vern Bowes, Allan Andrews and Cory Finnie of the RM of Cote.
