A position which is shared on a 50-50 basis between the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute (KCI) and Victoria School has a new face.
Jeremy Allard of Kamsack assumed the role of aboriginal community worker recently and will be dividing his time between the two schools.
鈥淚鈥檒l be working with students from kindergarten to Grade 12,鈥 Allard said. 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to be here working with students and promoting cultural awareness. My mandate includes building relationships between the students, staff and the community.鈥
Allard has lived in Kamsack with his wife Shanley (nee Sas) and their three children since 2016. He has been working at Sas-Kam Sportsman, and is president of the Kamsack Minor Ball Association, vice-president of Kamsack Minor Hockey and is involved with coaching sports. He enjoys keeping active doing all sorts of outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.
Minor Ball registrations were to be held on March 26 and 27 said Allard. He encourages anyone that may have missed those dated but are still wanting to register, to deliver the registration form to himself at Victoria School on March 28, or KCI on March 29 or drop it off with Shanley at Sas-Kam.
