Posted on the Cote First Nation Facebook page, a letter dated April 23, addressed parents and guardians with students attending the Chief Gabriel Cote Education Complex (CGCED). In the letter, Principal Jonas Cote announced the school would be transitioning to remote learning this week.
鈥淒ue to the increase in positive COVID-19 cases on Cote First Nation and from recommendations from Cote Chief and Council, Chief Gabriel Cote Education Complex will move to remote instruction.
Remote instruction will begin on Monday, April 26, until tentatively, Friday, April 30. Classes will tentatively resume face-to-face on Monday, May 3. Teachers will be working from home during this time and will be sending at least one homework package.
CGCED would like to assure you that the school will be disinfection and cleaning protocols have been and will continue to be followed. We will continue to keep student and staff well-小蓝视频 at the forefront,鈥 the letter concluded.
Also on the Facebook page, the Cote First Nation reported: 鈥淎s of 5 p.m. on April 25, two recoveries and five active COVID-19 cases, with four variant of concern (VOC). Lineage results is pending for four VOC identified by screening. Please note: This data is considered preliminary and is subject to change.鈥
