On June 27, 2021 at approximately 6 p.m., Kamsack RCMP officers were responding to an unrelated complaint on Keeseekoose First Nation when they observed a male who was known to be on a Canada-wide warrant for a breach of parole.
The male was on the steps of a residence, according to an RCMP release. The male fled and was located and arrested at a multi-residential unit nearby without incident.
Chase Quewezance, of Kamsack is charged with:
- 1 count, resist/obstruct peace officer;
- 1 count, unauthorized possession of a firearm; and
- 1 count, possess weapon contrary to order,
Quewezance appeared in court on June 28.
