Kamsack Indoor Rodeo competitors at the Calgary Stampede

Aaron Roy of Yellowgrass, a bull rider who was among past competitors at Kamsack, was injured two years ago at the Calgary Stampede when a bull stepped on his back and broke it, said information from the Kamsack rodeo committee. This year Roy was riding the bulls again in Calgary and was not bucked off until the championship final.

Other bull riders in Calgary who had competed at Kamsack included Dakota Buttar and Tanner Byrne, the information said. Rylan Geiger, a saddle bronc competitor, has competed in Kamsack as well as this year鈥檚 Stampede, and among the bareback riders who tested their skills at both rodeos are: Orin Larsen, Clint Laye and Ty Taypotat.

Justin Miller, who competes in bareback and steer wrestling is an alumnus of both rodeos and Dustin Walker, a steer wrestler, showed what he can do both in Kamsack and Calgary.

In barrel racing, Stephanie Mather, who was at Calgary this year, is a veteran of the Kamsack rodeo.

The fact that so many top competitors from the Calgary Stampede have been seen at the Kamsack rodeo demonstrates that indeed the audience of the annual Kamsack rodeo is treated to those who are among the best competitors in the sport of rodeo, the information said.

Preparations have begun for the 17th annual Kamsack Indoor Rodeo 小蓝视频 held September 25 and 26. Prime Time Rodeos of Kennedy will be the stock contractor for the sixth consecutive year; Ward Cutler of Virden, Man, will be announcing for the sixth year, and Terrance Aisaican will be providing the arena sound and music for a third consecutive year.

During both rodeo nights, the wild mini pony races will be held for a second year, it said. In that event youngsters from the audience will be invited to participate in teams of three.

The cabaret 小蓝视频 held on both nights will feature the music by Absolut Class Sound of Swan River.

New to the rodeo weekend this year is a trade show which will be open on the Saturday in the former Co-op grocery store in the Kamsack Shopping Plaza, located across the street from the Broda Sportsplex.

Committee members have begun the process of contacting their sponsors, of which there are about 60 at differing levels of sponsorship.
