聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Invermay School grades 8 and 9 PAA (Practical Applied Arts) students, led by teacher Nathan Hrynchyshyn, teamed up with the experienced senior ladies on October 25 at the Rama Recreation Centre to make perogies. The women shared their knowledge and skills and enlightened the students to the history and the joy of eating the Ukrainian dish.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The purpose of the program is to have a deeper understanding聽of the Polish Ukrainian food culture and to preserve the culture for future generations. The students experienced the complete process of making perogies, from peeling potatoes and onions, preparing, rolling, cutting, pinching and cooking dough; and of course the pure bliss of eating perogies! When this busy day came to a close, a well-deserved dessert of raspberries and ice cream was served

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Kaiser or Troika is a card game that I have been playing most of my life. At the Rama Golden Jets Centre, a group gathers every Tuesday evening to hold a Kaiser tournament.
