INDIAN HEAD - A British Columbia woman has been killed in a collision near Indian Head.
On Aug. 22 at approximately 12:45 p.m., Indian Head RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway 1 at the intersection with Highway 56. They report an SUV and a semi, both travelling on Highway 1, collided.
A passenger in the SUV was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. She has been identified as an 80-year-old female from Vernon, B.C. Her family has been notified.
The adult male driver of the SUV was transported to hospital by STARS with injuries described as serious in nature.
The semi driver was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
The westbound lanes of Highway 1 were closed for initial investigation but have since re-opened.
Indian Head RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
