聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The support for two Canora males who were hospitalized after an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident continues with the success of a rib night fundraiser in Stenen.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Josh Gogol and Dwight Dul, who were transported to Yorkton Regional Health Centre for treatment after an ATV accident in the RM of Keys on November 5, were the focus of a fundraiser held at Rawhides Bistro and Saloon in Stenen.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The fundraiser, known as Dwight and Josh鈥檚 Road to Recovery Fundraiser, was held December 5 to raise money for the two males as well as for their families. Kerry Fullawka, the organizer for the event, was proud to say that $12,400 was raised through the fundraiser.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Approximately 140 people purchased tickets to the fundraiser, which included a supper of a rack of ribs, a silent auction, door prizes, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 draw.
聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 鈥淚 am very proud to live in a community that can come together and support two young men and their families during such a tough time in their lives,鈥� said Fullawka. 鈥淪eeing how local businesses and individuals came forth and offered generous donations and offered to help organize this event was truly touching.鈥�
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Fullawka said he wanted to acknowledge everyone who donated and attended the fundraiser as well as Rawhides for allowing the event to take place. He also acknowledged the other organizers, who were Nathan Dutchak, Brendon Skibinsky, Jessica Kwas, Sabrina Fullawka and Matt Hrynkiw.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Meagan Yagelniski asked local businesses to place donation jars in storefronts, and these jars collected an extra $715.60. Donation websites have been set up at www.gofundme.com/fw-support-for-josh-gogol and www.gofundme.com/fight-with-dwight, which as of printing of this paper had raised $6,475.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Fullawka encourages anyone who wishes to donate to go online or contact him in order to make arrangements.
