Fourteen Canora Composite School students place in top 10 for races at Cherrydale cross-country meet

The Canora Composite School cross-country team continues to impress parents and coaches by having 14 students place in the top 10 of their respective races.

聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Canora Composite School cross-country team continues to impress parents and coaches by having 14 students place in the top 10 of their respective races.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The students braved the elements on October 6 and travelled to Cherrydale in Yorkton for a cross-country meet, where 17 CCS students raced in eight different divisions.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In the sneaker boys category, Porter Wolkowski finished strong and came in fourth place, with Cole Marcinkowski behind him in fifth. Hunter Lamb and Lucas Latham also completed the race and finished in eighth and 19th places, respectively.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In the peewee boys category, three students placed one after the other, with Clay Sleeva 小蓝视频 awarded a silver medal for second place; Dawson Zuravloff third and Hudson Bailey fourth place. Jake Statchuk finished the race in eighth place, and Lane Zuravloff completed it at 21st place.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In the bantam boys category, the two students competing, Jacob Gulka and Maxwell Mydonick, placed third and 11th respectively.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In the midget girls category, Kara High finished the race with a strong placing of fifth.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Juan Mesa-Castaneda was the only CCS student who competed in the midget boys category, and was awarded fourth place.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In the junior girls category, Jill Gulka won a gold medal by placing first. Felicity Mydonick also competed and placed sixth in the race.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Abby Gulka completed the senior girls race in seventh place, while Nathan Bucsis, the senior boys runner, was awarded second place in his race.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The runners for midget girls, junior girls, senior girls and senior boys advanced to provincials. High, Felicity Mydonick, Bucsis, Jill Gulka, and Abby Gulka, as well as coaches Leona Kitchen and Llewellyn Thomas Lowes were to have travelled to Deslisle on Saturday.
