First car show deemed a success by organizers

The Preeceville Lions Western Weekend hosted a first-time car show with 32 entries on July 13.

The Preeceville Lions Western Weekend hosted a first-time car show with 32 entries on July 13.

Norman Johnson and Corey Hort had the difficult task of selecting the winners in the different categories of best overall vehicle, best car, best truck, best motorcycle and best tractor.

Laura Cole won best overall for her entry, a 1969 Road Runner Plymouth.

Dwayne Stankewich won for best car, a 1974 Plymouth Cuda.

Corey Hort and Ralph Ager each tied for the best tractor. Hort had a 1946 LA John Deere and Ager had a 1978 4040 John Deere tractor.

Bob Knudsen won best truck for his 1953 F100.

Kevin Cook won best motorcycle for his 2012 Harley Davidson.
