The emergency services at the Preeceville and District Health Centre have resumed effective June 18 and normal operations are now in place, stated the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA).
The SHA is appreciative of the co-operation and support of the community during this temporary disruption of emergency services.
"I think we were very fortunate not to have anything serious happen while the emergency services were closed," stated Stacey Strykowski, Preeceville and District Health Action Committee.
"Every day that was closed, put our residents in danger. I鈥檇 like to thank all the residents for voicing their concerns. The Facebook group of rural people certainly helped reverse these decisions. The government and the SHA saw that this decision was premature and unwarranted," she concluded.
