聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 With St. Valentine鈥檚 Day, art classes and 小蓝视频 interviewed on television, February has turned out to be an exciting month here at the Lodge.
Last fall, the Kamsack arts council donated a collection of art supplies for the Lodge residents, including paints, canvases and brushes, so now every two weeks for just over an hour Brenda Kondratoff comes in to provide art lessons for the residents.
A well-known Kamsack artist, Kondratoff, a retired high school art teacher, had her own exhibition at the Godfrey Dean Gallery in Yorkton last year.
Residents are enjoying the classes and many have never painted before. Some have stated that 鈥渋t鈥檚 never too late to learn new things.鈥�
CTV learned about our art classes through our Facebook page and on February 15, a CTV crew came out and interviewed some of our art students. So yes, we now have celebrities living at Eaglestone Lodge. The residents were excited as many of them were getting calls from family and friends who had seen them on TV.
During the month, residents helped decorate cupcakes for St. Valentine鈥檚 Day.
At the February break, we had Meesha Romaniuk, daughter of Cindy Hudye, our office assistant, spend the day with the residents.
Marie Matveyenko donated an afghan she had crocheted for a raffle draw and the lucky winner was Herrera Cortez Hunter.
Just a thought: 鈥淰olunteers don鈥檛 necessarily have extra time, they just have big hearts.鈥�
