Congratulations to Lucy Issel on the birth of another great-grandson, Dylan Aaron Krieger, born to Sheldon and Kari Krieger of Melville. Sheldon is the son of Ernie and Marlene (Issel) Krieger of Neudorf.

Vivian Talbot was a weekend guest with daughter, Darla and Stacey Bailey and grandchildren, Carter, Sarah and Liam at Hazlet. Carter and Sarah skated in a program on Sunday afternoon to show off what they had achieved during their lessons this winter. Hazlet is the first place in Saskatchewan to use a wind turbine to supply power for the artificial ice surfaces in their curling/skating rink complex. The open mixed bonspiel was also in progress during the weekend with 21 rinks taking part. They turn off the ice plant in mid March. Hazlet has a population of just over 100.
Congratulations to Desiree Clark who was on the Saskatoon bowling team that won silver medals at the Provincial Youth Bowling Championship held in Regina on the March 5th weekend. Grandma Sharon Clark (accompanied by Lynn Haas of Bangor) motored to Regina to cheer her on.
