聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Dr. Emmanuel Ogali said he will be leaving Kamsack with good memories.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ogali, who began working at Kamsack in January 2013, will be leaving for Calgary in September.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚t was a family decision,鈥 Ogali said last week, adding that the education of his children was one of the main reasons the family decided to move. His wife Nene and three children Odi, Adaeze and Daniel moved to Calgary last July.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淚t is a necessity that I leave,鈥 he said. 鈥淏ut, we鈥檒l always have Kamsack in our minds.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Initially before arriving at Kamsack, Ogali said he had heard some negative comments about the community and as 鈥渁 man of faith,鈥 he knew there was a reason for his coming to Kamsack.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淔our years in Kamsack has opened my eyes,鈥 he said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 been awesome. It鈥檚 a wonderful place.
鈥淚t has been a blessing,鈥 he said, mentioning the many friendships that he has formed. 鈥淲e鈥檙e all like brothers and sisters.鈥
The experience has confirmed to trust in God鈥檚 loving and everything works out, he said.
Regarding Winners鈥 Chapel, the evangelical congregation that he has led while in the community and currently meets in a room at Crowstand Centre Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, he said he hopes that the services can continue.
Ogali said that until he leaves in September he will be helping Sunrise Health Region find another doctor to succeed him in Kamsack.
Councillor Claire Bishop, who is the chair of the Assiniboine Valley Health and Wellness Foundation, extended 鈥渁 big thank you鈥 to Ogali on behalf of the board and the community.
