In the wake of the ongoing situation surrounding the COVID-19 epidemic, the elementary and high schools in Outlook released the following statements on their social media pages this morning.
Outlook Elementary School statement:
Dear OES Families,
We know this is an uncertain time for our families and school community and would like to share the information that we do have.
There will be no school beginning Friday, March 20. We are hopeful that schools will re-open at some point before June 30th. However, at this point, school closure is indefinite.
We are waiting for direction from the Ministry of Education and Sun West School Division, in order to begin planning for continued learning at home. At this time, please do not feel that you need to gather homework or supplies for your child(ren). Instead, we would encourage you to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms, as you transition into this school closure period. We will communicate with families as soon as we further direction from Sun West regarding continued learning at home.
We appreciate that the decision to close schools is difficult for our students and families. Please know that it has really impacted staff as well as we deal with a new reality without our students. However, we do recognize that everyone鈥檚 health and safety are of utmost concern.
Thank you for 小蓝视频 supportive and understanding as we navigate this time. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the school directly.

Outlook High School statement:
Good morning OHS Families,
OHS will update our families with the latest information as we receive it from the Sun West School Division and the Ministry of Education. As of now, all we know is that schools will be shut down as of the end of the school day on Thursday. We do not know when schools will reopen. The next piece of information that we expect to receive is the learning and evaluation plan for students from the Ministry in conjunction with the school divisions. Depending on the plan that is 小蓝视频 developed, students may need to take learning materials home with them.
We are not encouraging students to empty their lockers in the hopes that we will be able to resume this school year when it is deemed safe and appropriate. We have asked our students to make sure that any and all food that was stored in their locker has been placed in the trash. OHS would like to thank everyone for their patience. Please feel free to contact the school directly if you have any questions or concerns.
