聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Organizers of the annual Christmas in November trade show in Kamsack on November 19 are calling it one of the best ever.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Held as a fundraiser for the Kamsack Playhouse, the sale of crafts and products sold by home-based businesses featured more and different types of vendors than had previously attended, said Brenda Wyllychuk, an organizer.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In total there were 240 people who wrote their names at the registration table, Wyllychuk said.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲e were really impressed,鈥 she said. 鈥淲e only heard positive comments from the customers, the vendors thanked us and said it was a success and the volunteers were great.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 About a dozen volunteers were put to work preparing the OCC Hall before the event began, cleaning it when it was over and making the three varieties of soup, two types of sandwiches and puffed wheat and popcorn cakes.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 A first-time vendor who admitted to not normally enjoying the trade show atmosphere, said she was very impressed and asked the committee to make sure she is invited next year, Wyllychuk said.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proceeds from the event have been earmarked to purchase a new popcorn machine for the theatre and will go into the kitty so that new seats and flooring can be installed in the building.
