SASKATOON – Troy Stengler of Regina became Saskatchewan’s newest millionaire, winning the grand prize of $1 Million in the Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundation Lottery, championed by the Mosaic Company.
"This is unbelievable!" Stengler said after first receiving the exciting news. "I have been donating to Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation way back when they were still trying to get the hospital built, so naturally I chose to buy a ticket and support the Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundation Lottery, because I know the money is going to a good cause. This money will make a huge difference in my life and in my family's lives and I couldn't be happier."
The Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundation Lottery offered over 1,000 cash, car and recreational vehicles prizes, worth over $2 million. Plus, three grand prizes including the best chance to win $1 million.
The winner of the Halftime 50/50 draw is J. Cain of Manitou Beach. The jackpot reached a total of $909,925, which means Cain will take home $454,962.50.
