The Canora Child Action Plan (CAP) will begin operating out of its own premises beginning January 1.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 During the December 15 meeting of Canora town council, an offer from CAP to rent the building for $300 a month was accepted by town council. Previously the CAP has been functioning out of various community facilities such as the Activity Centre or the schools.

Town council adopted an employee code of conduct.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An open hearing was held to discuss the proposal of a photography and framing business to be operated by Craig Popoff as a home occupation from 365 Parker Crescent.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 There were no personal or written representations.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Having closed the hearing and returned to the regular meeting, council approved the operation of a photography and framing business as a home occupation at 365 Parker Crescent.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Council authorized Randy Molyneaux, the Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) co-ordinator to attend an Emergency Operations Centre course in Regina Beach on January 16 and 23.
Council accept an offer from Tammy Bobyk to purchase the lots at 211 and 213 Northern Avenue (Lots 5-8, Block 184, Plan Z5500) for $1,500, provided the current year鈥檚 taxes are prepaid, payment is received within 30 days and that power, gas and water utilities are connected within 90 days.
