The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 47 calls during the week of June 10 to June 17, some of which included: three traffic accidents, eight provincial traffic offences, 13 other provincial statutes, three mischiefs, one theft, one fraud and 13 other incidents.
False alarm
On June 11, Canora/Sturgis RCMP members responded to an intrusion alarm coming from a business in Canora. Police arrived on scene and cleared the business. Through investigation, it was determined that there was no sign of a break-in and that one of the doors was not secured properly. The key holder was updated accordingly.
ATV warning
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded on June 11 to a complaint of someone recklessly driving an ATV in Preeceville. Members located the driver and issued a warning.
Residential investigation
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to a complaint of a possible break and enter to a residence in Canora on June 12. Neighbourhood enquires were completed and police continue to investigate.
Grid road racer
On June 13, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a complaint of a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on a grid road. Patrols were made in the area, however, the vehicle was not located.
Suspicious vehicle
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a report on June 15 that a suspicious vehicle had been parked and left abandoned on a street within Canora town limits. Through investigation, the registered owner of the vehicle was identified and members conducted patrols of the area. Neither the vehicle driver, nor the registered owner were located.
Hit and Run
On June 16, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a report of a hit and run incident that occurred on June 12 outside of a business on Main Street in Preeceville. Police continue to investigate the incident.聽
Alarm operation problems
On June 17, Canora/Sturgis RCMP members responded to a commercial alarm coming from a business in Canora. Police learned that the key holders on site were having troubles de-activating the alarm system, and that there was no emergency. Alarms are a great tool for protecting property and reporting emergencies. If you have an alarm, please ensure the alarm company has your updated contact information so that police can investigate the alarm and contact the correct property representative.聽
Missing person arrested
Canora/Sturgis RCMP members received a complaint on June 17 of a missing person whose last known whereabouts was on a grid road outside of Preeceville. After an extensive search conducted by RCMP members and Saskatchewan Conservation Officers, the subject was located safely and arrested without incident for 小蓝视频 on warrant status.
