The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 130 calls during the week of May 19 to May 27, some of which included: three traffic accidents, 81 provincial traffic offences, six provincial statutes, three mischiefs, one fraud, three thefts and seven other incidents.
Canada Road Safety Week, a nationally-driven traffic enforcement initiative occurred from May 18 through May 24. This initiative focused on impaired driving, distracted driving, seatbelt misuse, speeding, and aggressive driving (e.g.: follow too close, unsafe lane changes, etc.).听 National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day took place on May 22 within Canada Road Safety Week, with a specific focus on alcohol and/or drug-impaired driving.听听
Dangerous dog
On May 19, Canora/Sturgis RCMP were made aware of a large dog running loose in Canora that attempted to bite the complainant who made the request for assistance. Police made patrols but were unable to locate the dog.听
Stolen vehicle recovered
Canora/Sturgis RCMP investigated a report on May 19 of a stolen vehicle in Canora. The stolen vehicle was later recovered west of Canora. If you have any information related to this incident, please contact the Canora RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
Hung up
Canora/Sturgis RCMP attended a 911 hang-up complaint in Sturgis on May 20. Police attended and located a male inside the house that was on court-ordered conditions not to attend the residence. The male was criminally charged and remanded into custody.
Gas thefts
On May 22, Canora/Sturgis RCMP investigated three separate complaints of vehicle gas tanks 小蓝视频 drilled and the gas 小蓝视频 drained in Preeceville and Sturgis. A fourth incident happened in Kamsack. Assault
Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to an assault complaint on May 23 in Preeceville. Police continue to investigate.
Injured fox
Canora/Sturgis RCMP were called to dispatch an injured fox in Canora on May 26. Police attended but were unable to locate the injured animal.
Disappearing trees
On May 26, the Canora RCMP Detachment received a complaint of trees 小蓝视频 cut down along a property line in Canora. Police attended and determined the matter to be a civil complaint.

Alley fight
Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to a report of two males fighting in an alley in Sturgis on May 26. Police attended and located one of the suspects who was subsequently arrested for an outstanding warrant of arrest.
