The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 123 calls during the week of April 1 to April 8, some of which included: 67 traffic offenses, one traffic accident, nine other provincial statutes, two harassments/threats, three assaults, one theft, one mischief, one fraud and 11 other incidents.
Unruly youth
On April 2, Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to multiple complaints at a residence in Canora pertaining to the behavior of a youth. Police attended and provided assistance to the family.
ATV misuse
Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a complaint on April 2 of an ATV racing through the town of Canora with the occupants not wearing helmets. Police will be patrolling and conducting checks in the town of Canora for anyone failing to comply with provincial regulations governing the use of off-road vehicles.
Being neighbourly
A resident of Canora reported seeing a flashlight shining in her neighbour鈥檚 yard on April 3. The complainant was aware her neighbours were not home so she promptly called the police who attended and investigated the complaint.
Ancient history
On April 4, a resident of Canora repeatedly called 911 wanting to report an historical crime.听 Canora/Sturgis RCMP followed up with the complainant and the matter was resolved. Police want to remind the public that calling 911 is for emergencies only, and is not a messaging service for the Canora Detachment. ATV theft
Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a report on April 4 of an ATV 小蓝视频 stolen from the RM of Preeceville.听听
Hot party
On April 4, Canora/Sturgis RCMP members were made aware of a party that occurred at an old bridge in the RM of Good Lake which resulted in fire damage to the bridge. Canora RCMP are requesting assistance with identifying those responsible for damaging the bridge.听
Fraud
A resident of Sturgis reported 小蓝视频 a victim of fraud on April 6. Police followed up with the complainant. Investigation is ongoing.
Burning couch
Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a call on April 7 about a couch 小蓝视频 lit on fire in a field in the RM of Invermay.听听
Mystery male

On April 8, Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a complaint of a male on Highway No. 5 by Mikado attempting to flag down passing vehicles. Police were dispatched to locate the male who appeared to be in distress. Attempts to locate the male were unsuccessful. No further complaints were received.
