The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 57 calls during the week of October 8 to October 15, some of which included: two traffic accidents, 30 traffic offences, one impaired operation, five other provincial statutes, one other criminal code, one uttering threats, two assaults, one theft under $5,000, one theft over $5,000, three mischiefs, two break and enters, and eight others.

Preeceville vehicle theft

On October 10, Canora/Sturgis RCMP investigated a vehicle theft complaint in Preeceville.聽 Police were advised a vehicle was stolen out of a yard and abandoned down the street.聽

SaskPower incident

SaskPower reported a break and enter to the Canora-Sturgis RCMP. On October 11, unknown subject(s) cut the lock off the gate and entered the SaskPower yard in Sturgis. RCMP continue to investigate.聽

聽Canora altercation

Canora/RCMP received a complaint on October 12 of two males fighting at a Canora residence.聽 Police attended and arrested the two males. Both were charged with assault and released on conditions to stay away from each other.

Farm theft

On October 13, a break and enter was reported to a farmyard in the RM of Good Lake.聽 Numerous outbuildings were broken into resulting in the theft of firearms.

Canora mischief

The Canora Detachment received a complaint of mischief to a business window in the town of Canora on October 13.
