The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 36 calls during the week of August 20 to 27, some of which included: eight traffic offences, one municipal bylaw, one theft over $5,000, one theft under $5,000, two mischief, one break and enter, 11 other provincial statutes, two other criminal code and two other offences.

Canora fight

On August 20 Canora RCMP responded to a fight on Second Avenue West in Canora. Police attended the scene and the two males involved in the fight had already left the area and could not be located.

Stolen vehicle

Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a complaint about a stolen vehicle in Canora on August 20. Police learned the theft was civil in nature and provided the complainant with advice on how to resolve the issue.

Canora noise

On August 23 Canora RCMP responded to a noise complaint in Canora. Police found a party in the back yard of a residence with loud music playing. A warning was given to turn down the music and there were no further complaints.

Sturgis fireworks

Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a complaint of fireworks 小蓝视频 set off by the Sturgis School on August 23.

Crystal Lake chimney

On August 24 Canora/Sturgis RCMP assisted Crystal Lake and Sturgis Fire Departments with a chimney fire complaint at Crystal Lake. The investigation revealed there was no fire, just an obstruction in the chimney that should not have been there.

Canoe on the loose

Canora-Sturgis RCMP received a complaint on August 24 that a canoe was not properly secured to a vehicle travelling down the highway near Preeceville. The canoe came loose causing another vehicle to swerve out of the canoe鈥檚 way. The charge of an unsecure load will be issued to the registered owner of the vehicle.

Canora break and enter

On August 25 Canora RCMP responded to a break and enter that occurred at a residence in Canora. Canora RCMP would like to remind the public 鈥渨hen you leave your house for vacation or a short trip, you should lock your doors and windows.鈥澛

Garbage dumped

Canora RCMP received a report of garbage dumped on the highway near Buchanan on August 25. The investigation continues.

Cell phone theft

On August 26 Canora RCMP received a complaint that a cell phone was stolen from a vehicle left unlocked on Main Street in Canora.

Intoxicated male

Canora RCMP responded to a complaint on August 26 of an intoxicated male laying on the ground outside a residence in Canora. Members attended and arrested the male for 小蓝视频 drunk in a public place. The male was given an opportunity to sober up and was later released from police custody.
