In his presidential address, Dwayne Wolkowski focused on player development, getting players back on the ice, and the hope for games to begin once allowed by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Saskatchewan Hockey Association.

鈥淚t鈥檚 important to follow the guidelines so that we can stay on the ice and play hockey,鈥 said Wolkowski. 鈥淲e are taking the COVID-19 situation very seriously and want to see everyone stay healthy while playing the game we love.鈥

Registrations have shown, 鈥済ood numbers of children wanting to play this year.鈥 For the U7 team (formerly IP), 18 players have registered; U9, (formerly novice) 12; U11, (formerly atom) 17, and U13, (formerly peewee), 12.

Wolkowski congratulated Meridee Kopelchuk on arranging a U15 (formerly bantam) girls team that will be based out of Canora and made up of girls from Canora and surrounding communities.听

Joining Wolkowski on the CMHA executive for the 2020-21 season are: Terry Demchuk, vice-president; Cindy Sznerch, secretary; Crystal Reine, treasurer; Sherri Roebuck, registrar, and Stacy Vangen, webmaster.

The Canora Minor Hockey Day Prize Raffle committee will plan to stay operational for the coming season. The committee will be working to find options that are viable for both the club and its supporters. In the past the club has offered either trips or cash prizes.听

U7 registrations are free for the coming season. Anyone still interested in registering a U7 player is asked to contact a member of the executive.听听听
