The Calder Seniors have been busy with their whist drives. Here are the winners from聽 the last few whist drives that were held at the Calder Good Neighbour Centre. Here are the winners from Jan. 10, 2015 whist drive: 1st Mildred Danylko, 2nd Anne Mostoway, 3rd Judy Pryslak and Arthur Martenuk, low Gordon Kahut. The Pot of Gold winners were Judy Pryslak and Mildred Danylko. The winners of the Jan. 24, 2015 whist drive are as follows: 1st Marjory Mankish, 2nd Mildred Danylko, 3rd聽 Arnold Balabuk, low Jim Fustey. The Pot of Gold winners were Gordon Kahut and Mildred Danylko.

The Calder Annual Poker Derby has been set for March 1, 2015 at the Calder Community Rink.

Breakfast is planned for March 1, 2015 at the Calder Community Rink. Breakfast will start at 9 o鈥檆lock at the rink. So come out to enjoy some scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage patties. Everyone is welcome to come to this event.

The Calder Students have finished their swimming lessons in Yorkton.

The Calder Students and teachers along with their parents and family members went out to Asessippi for their annual skiing trip. The school had a wonderful day, great weather for their ski trip.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful people, who welcomed us, The Calder Yalenka Dance Club, into their home for carolling this year. The Calder Yalenka Dance Club is busy getting ready for their first competition in Regina in March.

Sympathy goes out to Tyler Eftoda and families on the recent passing of Rose Eftoda.

Calder Community Rink is up and running. Skating is free this year again. Friday night skating starts at 7 p.m. and on Sunday skating starts at 1 p.m.

The Calder Community would like to welcome Levi Haas and his girlfriend into our community.

Marjory Mankish is back from Dryden, ON, where she spent Christmas with her daughter, Marianne and son in law, Harold Price and her wonderful grandchildren.

On Feb. 13, the Calder Students celebrated Valentine鈥檚 Day. The students participated in a wiener roast. Then later on the students participated in some outside activities. Students exchanged Valentine鈥檚 cards too.
