SASKATOON - Sept. 19 to 25 is designated as Saskatchewan Missing Persons Week and it will start with an awareness walk commemorating the one-year anniversary of Megan Gallagher's disappearance.
The walk is a way to continue to raise awareness of the cases of missing persons in the province, just like the case of Megan Gallagher whose last known whereabouts was in the 100 block of Avenue P СÀ¶ÊÓƵ at around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 last year.
On Sept. 19, members of Megan Gallagher's family will be walking from Joe Gallagher Field, on 1535 Avenue P СÀ¶ÊÓƵ, to the River Landing Amphitheatre.The gates of the field open at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
The community is also encouraged to follow the Saskatoon Police Service on social media for additional awareness and education activities throughout Saskatchewan Missing Persons Week.
