Though it was held a little later than normal, the Canora Composite School Welcome Back Pancake Breakfast on September 16 was very successful with about 425 plates served, said Principal Kim Eiteneier.
So many individuals from the school and the community worked together to make it a success, he said. Members of the Student Community Council and the Student Representative Council were assisted by a number of educational assistants in providing the breakfast. Even Shannon Leson, the local Good Spirit School Division board member assisted with serving breakfast.
The biggest challenge of the event was to serve everyone in less than one hour, Eiteneier said. The breakfast was served from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
鈥淚 think the kids and parents alike enjoyed the food and the chance to mingle with teachers and other members of the staff,鈥 said the principal.
